1. Overview
I offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from my clinic in Wokingham, Berkshire, as well as online consultations for Chinese herbal medicine. With over 25 years of clinical experience, I treat a wide range of health conditions including fertility, pain, stress, anxiety, and many other health problems.
I blend traditional Chinese medicine with a thorough understanding of western medicine to give a deep and accurate insight into illness and disharmony. I then use several treatment strategies to allow for a quicker recovery, restoring good health. I believe it is important to explain to patients what is happening with their health and bodies, so that we can work consciously together to improve it.
I practise traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, not 5-Element acupuncture, which is a more recent western invention. I use fine needles to make treatment as relaxing and as pain-free as possible. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

3. Online clinic
I offer online Chinese herbal medicine consultations via Zoom for patients who are unable to visit the Wokingham clinic in person. Online consultations are available to patients throughout the UK and internationally.
During an online consultation I will take a full case history, ask about your symptoms, diet and lifestyle, and prescribe a tailored course of Chinese herbal medicine to address your condition. Herbs are then posted directly to you.
Online consultations are particularly suited to patients seeking treatment for fertility, stress, insomnia, digestive conditions, menopausal symptoms, and other conditions where Chinese herbs can be prescribed without in-person physical examination.
4. Treatments available

6. Your first appointment
Your first appointment lasts approximately one hour. I will begin by taking a full case history, asking about your main complaint, general health, medical history, diet, sleep and lifestyle. This detailed assessment is central to Chinese medicine diagnosis and allows me to create a tailored treatment plan.
I will then assess your tongue and pulse, which are key diagnostic tools in traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture treatment typically follows during the same appointment. Fine, sterile, single-use needles are inserted at specific acupuncture points and left in place for around 20–30 minutes.
Most patients find acupuncture deeply relaxing. Mild sensations of heaviness, tingling or warmth around the needles are normal and indicate that the treatment is working. Follow-up appointments are typically 45 minutes.
